Harvest Festival – An Autumn Picnic
March 28, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Join us at the farm for an afternoon of delicious food, live music, cider and chilled vibes. It’s a chance to listen to and interact with the experts. Gardening Australia presenter Tino Carnevale heads a great line up of speakers.
Joining Tino will be the Feisty Tasmanian Rees Campbell who will be discussing Tasmanian native foods and and sharing knowledge from her hit book Eat Wild Tasmanian. Annette Reed from Tasmanian Natural Garlic and Tomatoes will talk about all things tomatoes, seed saving and greenhouses.
In addition there will be workshops on preserving the autumn harvest, including how to pickle, preserve and bottle your excess vegetables. Other topics include compost making and starting a cottage cut flower garden.
There will be our regular festival activities including food stalls, bars, piglet patting, gumboot throwing and farm tours.
It promises to be a great family day out. Secure your ticket online to go into the draw to win a hamper from the farm.
